In this episode of Masters of mmhmm, educator Stacey Roshan shares how she's shifted away from using EdTech to automate, and instead now uses it for deeper connection and expression in the classroom.
She says by using mmhmm to present lessons, students can watch lessons at their own pace, as often as they need to. This allows them to take ownership of their learning and become better thinkers in the future.
Stacey is a proponent of flipped classrooms - in which students watch lectures at their own pace at home, and then participate in more active learning while in the classroom. She says the "power of playback" that mmhmm provides has supported this practice and helped her students be more prepared when they come to class.
